The time spent in each compartment corresponds to the mean time reported in the different references, and used by the Legrand et al. study 10. θ1 is computed in order to obtain the given proportion θ% of infectious individuals hospitalized. δ1 and δ2 are computed in order to have an overall case fatality ratio δ. δ1 and δ2 are fatality ratio parameters associated with the different compartments. For details on how to compute each one of them see Ref. [10].
